About The Princess Ball

Where and when is The Princess Ball held?
The Seventh Annual Princess Ball will be held on Sunday October 25th, 2020, between noon and 4pm at The Liberty Grand, Governor’s Ballroom, in Toronto.

How much are tickets and how do I purchase them?
Tickets go on sale to our exclusive early bird list in November. You must be on our early bird mailing list in order to receive access to tickets. Please click here to join the list. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday December 3rd 2019 at noon. The link to purchase tickets will be available on this site after the early bird ticket sale has concluded. Adult tickets are $175, Child (2-12) tickets are $125, and Infants are $25 (under 2). For your convenience, we offer ticket packages that include one adult ticket and one child ticket for $300. All children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18, and single child tickets purchased without an adult ticket or package will be refunded.

Tell me about The Princess Ball and Make a Wish Foundation of Canada
100% of the net proceeds of The Princess Ball goes to Make a Wish Foundation of Canada, helping children with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities get their wish. Click here to find out more about why Wishes for Olivia was created, and about the Make a Wish Foundation.

Is the event suitable for children and infants?
Yes! The Princess Ball is designed for children, and is a lavish charity gala event for the whole family. All ages are welcome to attend, however, all children and / or infants must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A responsible adult is a person who has reached the age of 18. All children and / or infants must be adequately supervised.

How old are the children who attend?
Children of all ages are welcome at the event, but the vast majority of our guests are between the ages of 4-8. As such, most of our activities are geared towards their enjoyment, such as face-painting, a play area, interactive storytelling, and arts and crafts. Younger children enjoy the dancing, the Princesses, and the play areas, while our older guests have said they enjoy our children’s raffle, our spa station, and our amazing candy bar!

I understand that a lot of little girls will enjoy the Ball, but is this event suitable for boys?
Of course! We welcome many little Princes to the Ball. The Princess Ball is an inclusive event, full of magic, whimsy, and gentle entertainment, and is proud to cater to every child. We have many stations that appeal to boys and girls alike, including a candy bar, face painting, glitter tattoos, arts and crafts, and dancing. Do bear in mind that the event is most suitable for boys and girls that enjoy Princesses, and all aspects of a Royal Ball.

Is there a dress code?
While there is no official dress code, The Princess Ball is a chance to let your inner Princess out. Whether that means a simple outfit, a pretty dress, or full costume, that is completely up to you! Most of our little Princes and Princesses have indicated that they are going to go in full costume and accessories, and most of our adults have indicated that they will be dressed in formal dress (evening gowns and suits) other than costumes. For adults intending to wear costumes, please note that you should not dress as one of the official attending Princes or Princesses, to avoid confusion!

What will be served at lunch?
The menu will be determined in early Spring 2020. However, a full plated lunch will be served, including a hot main course, customized with options for both our adult and child guests. Unlimited, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are provided for the duration of the event, including our non-alcoholic cocktail, juices, soft drinks, white, and chocolate milk. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Do you accommodate food allergies?
Of course, we will do our absolute best to accommodate food allergies. Please note your food allergy on your ticket order form. Although we will work with you to accommodate an allergy, please understand that we may not be able to fully accommodate your allergy as we cannot guarantee an allergen free environment. The Liberty Grand is not a nut-free environment, and therefore food products from the kitchen, as well as those from outside vendors, may have come into contact with nuts.

Buying Tickets

May I buy tickets for people other than myself?
Yes, you may. However, we will need the full and correct name for every guest attending, as well as an email address for each adult and the street address name of each child for customized, printed, early bird invitation (early bird purchasers only).

How and when will I receive my tax receipt?
Receipts are issued by Make a Wish Foundation of Canada to the mailing address and to the name of the purchaser. If you would like to receive individual tax receipts, please notify us by email with the name, address and order numbers of your tickets. Receipts are issued after the conclusion of the 2020 event.

Is my ticket transferrable?
Tickets may be able to be transferred to another name, within the same ticket bracket, upon request. Please contact info@theprincessball.com with your name and email address, and the request. While we will work to accommodate your request, please note that, depending on circumstances and timing, transfer requests are not guaranteed. At the request of the venue, no ticket transfers will be accommodated after September 1st 2020.

What is the refund policy?
Every ticket for The Princess Ball is non-refundable. However, tickets may be able to be transferred to another name, upon request. While we will work to accommodate your request, please note that, depending on circumstances and timing, transfer requests are not guaranteed. At the request of the venue, no ticket transfers will be accommodated after September 1st 2020.

What is the event cancellation policy?
Inclement weather and similar “acts of God” are beyond the control of the event, and therefore no refunds can be issued if the venue is open and functioning at the time of the event. Refunds for ticket sales only will be provided should the venue make the decision to close before the event begins.

What is included with my early bird ticket?
Early Bird ticket purchasers will receive a beautiful, customized, printed invitation for each child ticket purchased. The invitation will be delivered to their house in time for holiday giving. This offer is only available to Early Bird purchasers, and only children will receive this printed invitation. This offer will not be extended to the General Public sale. Customized tickets will be mailed to the purchaser’s postal address, so please be aware that tickets bought on behalf of a group by a single purchaser may all be sent to that one address.

I wasn’t able to get a ticket. How can I get one?

The Princess Ball is a high-demand event, and we simply cannot accommodate everyone who wants to purchase tickets. However, we occasionally have a few tickets that come up for sale close to the event date. We will open a wait list in early 2020 for those who may be interested in purchasing one of these tickets.

What time does the event start?
Our doors open at 11.30am, and our program begins at noon.
